STRAWBERRY
JAM

In Poland, not only apples are grown in the vicinity of Grójec.

In Poland, not only apples are grown in the vicinity of Grójec. Magda and Mateusz Włodarczyk,  young couple from Hornigi (Mazovian district), run the farm, where only strawberries are grown on a few hectares. Both are the graduates of the Warsaw University of LifeSciences, they gained their passion for horticulture, because their families have been running their farms for years. There are many varieties of strawberries grown on the farm of Magda and Mateusz, so that the fruits are available from May and for as long as possible. This year, strawberries were still harvested in October. All plantations are run on beds mulched with fabric, so that the fruit does not come into contact with the soil and is constantly bathed in sunlight, which makes it so sweet. Such cultivation allows for the production with minimal use of plant protection products. Remote traps help in the fight against pests, thanks to which no pest will surprise us. Plants elevated above the soil are perfectly accessible to beneficial insects that destroy pests, it is also possible to use biosolutions such as Vaxiplant (laminarin) and Polyversum (Pythium oligandrum).

We are never alone on the Włodarczyk plantations.

Strawberry cultivation is carried out in accordance with the ProNutiva technology under the supervision of our ProNutiva Specialist Michał Malicki. We are never alone on the Włodarczyk plantations. There are always little friends with us, honey bees who are looked after by Michał Malicki, who is also passionate about beekeeping, as well as solitary bees bred by startup, with whom we work locally – Osmia Future.
